EN/AS9100-Certified Quality Management System

Voxen’s quality management system is certified to EN/AS9100, incorporating the requirements of ISO 9001 together with additional requirements for the aerospace, space and defence industries.
The quality management system provides the framework for reviewing customer requirements, assessing risk, planning processes, managing suppliers, handling non-conformities and following up improvements.

At Voxen, quality management is integrated into day-to-day operations. Requirements are followed from contract review and production planning through machining, inspection, documentation and delivery. This provides a structured basis for consistent delivery and enables requirements and non-conformities to be tracked throughout the manufacturing process.

Quality Processes

Voxen’s quality management system provides a structured basis for assignments where customers require robust process control, documentation, traceability, supplier management and verification. The specific requirements are agreed with the customer and tailored to the component and industry concerned.

The system includes:

  • Review and control of customer requirements
  • Product- and process-related risk management
  • Supplier management
  • Document and record control
  • Traceability
  • Inspection and release
  • Verification and testing in accordance with agreed requirements
  • Management of non-conformities and changes
  • Continual improvement

For pharma- and medico-related assignments, specific requirements relating to documentation, traceability, supplier management, risk management, verification and inspection are agreed with the customer. Any requirements based on ISO 13485, ISO 14971 or Regulation (EU) 2017/745 are assessed for the individual assignment.

Documentation Tailored to Customer Requirements

The scope and level of inspection are defined from the customer’s drawings, specifications and requirements for the individual component.
Depending on the assignment, the delivery may include:

  • Inspection reports
  • Material certificates and material documentation
  • Traceability and batch/lot documentation
  • First Article Inspection documentation in accordance with agreed requirements
  • Control plans
  • Verification and test reports
  • Documentation from relevant external processes
  • Other agreed quality documentation

Coordinate Measurement and Documented Inspection

Voxen uses coordinate measurement (CMM) to inspect geometry and critical dimensions where required. Measurement method, scope and reporting are defined from the customer’s drawing, tolerances and documentation requirements.
