At Voxen, manufacturing processes are developed through the combination of advanced machining technology, manufacturing engineering expertise and documented processes. We manufacture prototypes, low-volume batches and series production using multi-axis CNC milling, CNC turning and other relevant machining technologies. Our work includes complex geometries, tight tolerances and materials that place high demands on process selection, tooling, fixturing and inspection. Each manufacturing process is planned around the customer’s drawing, specifications, batch size, delivery schedule and documentation requirements.
Voxen continually develops machining strategies, process control and manufacturing methods to support reliable delivery and future production requirements.
We can become involved early in the development process, providing manufacturing engineering input on material selection, tolerances, machining strategies and production readiness. Early technical dialogue reduces manufacturing risks, optimises the machining strategy and creates a robust basis for the transition from prototype to series production.
Voxen’s manufacturing set-up includes multi-axis CNC milling and CNC turning for complex precision components.
The manufacturing process is planned around component geometry, material selection, tolerances, documentation requirements and anticipated batch size. Programming, fixturing, tooling and inspection are developed as an integrated machining strategy, enabling the process to be carried out reliably and repeated with consistent results.
Stable production depends on the interaction between machining expertise, systematic process control and relevant production data. Experience of materials, tooling, machinery and machining processes is combined with structured monitoring of critical process parameters and results.
The approach to process control and statistical documentation is tailored to the component’s critical characteristics, batch size and customer requirements. This supports the identification of variation and ongoing monitoring of process stability throughout production.
Material properties influence tooling, fixturing, machining strategy and inspection. The manufacturing process is therefore planned around the material, the component’s function and the requirements for the finished delivery.
Voxen machines aluminium alloys, titanium alloys, stainless steels, high-strength steels, nickel-based superalloys – including Inconel and Hastelloy – Duplex and Super Duplex stainless steels, and selected composite materials.
Manufacturing engineering support can begin during the development and prototype phase. Voxen provides input on manufacturability, tolerances, materials, fixturing and manufacturing strategy to support a stable and efficient production process. This early collaboration gives design engineers a stronger basis for developing components in which functional requirements and manufacturing possibilities are considered together.
Inspection plans and production documentation requirements are defined as part of the manufacturing process. Depending on the assignment, the delivery may include inspection reports, material documentation, traceability and other agreed quality documentation.
Voxen can also coordinate testing and verification through relevant external providers and, where required, accredited testing organisations.
